The Insider: Kid Stuff in Boerum Hill

WE VISIT the land of real people today in my Insider column on Brownstoner. com.

It’s an atypical one. The subject homeowners did zero renovation on their 1850s row house in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn (none was needed), and actually furnished the place without professional help.

It’s comfortable and lived-in, and it’s inspiring appre- ciative comments. Next week, the controversy returns: historic preservationists vs. modernists.
