The Insider: Over-the-Top Mansion in Clinton Hill

THIS IS ONE OF THOSE HOUSES you can’t believe modern-day people really get to live in: a grand mansion in Clinton Hill, where the industrial robber barons of the late 19th century had their family homes. This one was built by a founder of Pfizer in 1887, with plasterwork and other architectural detail that (although it is designated by Landmarks as Queen Anne style) is so lavish as to be practically Baroque.
