    That pink shrub is Scotch Broom. I’ve never seen it in pink, though.

    Yes Cara — love the Scotch Broom! I had one that I loved (and lost). And whose familiar back is that viewing the azalea?

    Ah yes, that’s my girl! I very much doubt Scotch Broom is deer-resistant… that would be too much to hope for!

    Writer of above comments has had good luck with Scotch Broom (deer-wise) — but I have heard it is not that hardy. Had mine for several years before it inexplicably died. Some interesting anti-deer tactics mentioned as well. Happy gardening — have only planted some everbearing strawberries and two coleus — lots of work ahead of me!
